hmm

so yep still in idol for now, though who knows how long! I'm so out of practice with writing.
last time, i was told the mods had put me down as a bye, so that was OK.
On wednesday J, M's and I went to vote electronically. I was very impressed with it; it'd changed so much from last year. the pads were like a telephone with no extra buttons (unlike last year) and the speech was far more responsive!
tomorrow off to loscha 's b/day out to footscray and on Sunday off to B's. working next week.
It's been sooo soo soo hot here! unbelievable for this time of year.
I hope my idol entry is OK and I can try and improve on me writing again.

LJ idol rants

I've just been saying to golden_sands that it really really peaves me right off when people write in their LJ "vote for me; vote for me; vote for me".
OK for one thing, I rarely talk to my LJ audience, because it's my journal. secondly, I'm the sort of person who will never do it cos it's like saying "I'm desperate" or "I'm popular" or "I'm not confident with my writing so I need my friends support.
If I get eliminated this round, I can garantee it's cos I haven't had my "lj friends" vote for me. I'd much rather strangers vote for me cos they like my style of writing or they just like my subject matter. don't get me wrong, if my LJ friends want to vote for me, be my guest, but at no time will I ever request people to vote in my journal; it's unfair and I have no idea why the community would allow non-members to vote.
ah well, maybe it will change in the future?
