Well my O&M session to and around Queens went quite well. Aaron (from guide dogs) prooved to be extremely lovely and helpful. I got a lot done, and I know from the big open foyer to my future office on the 4th floor.
L seemed quite happy with him.
I was very happy with Miss Heartly. She was walking along with her head helf high and knew exactly where to go; aaron seemed very impressed!
On the way back to station for the last time that session we were talking about Heartly's retirement. He said that he thinks someone would be wise to come out and assess us in July and maybe then put me on the waiting list for another dog; cos he says it wouldn't be too nice to wait til the very end of her work, then find I'd have to wait a bit before I get my next dog. So yeh, to answer my question, he reckons that's the plan for my sake and hers. sounds alright to me. I certainly want Heartly to have a lovely retirement, but it will be hard when it comes time for them to make that decision, as it's always usually them!
M just left with all her stuff to go back to her dad's. After three months, it now gives me my place back, though I will miss her a lot.
Mum and Nan are insisting on coming here and doing a spring clean tomorrow.
I will be off to sSouth Yarra to pick up the remainder of my junk I'd accumulated, and will also get my heeadset ready for next week. Will then travel into Kooyong with RB for Computer Users group.
til next time, RdFreak

I might pass on this topic for two obvious reasons:
A. We do not have a president.
B. I'm not too into politics, so shall leave it to the "experts".
though if I'm asked what makes a good prime Minister? It's this:
Two clean ears that listen and listen well,
A good memory (so they don't forget promises),
A big mouth so they can keep the other politicians in line, ie. ordering them to stop wasting tax-payers money when they earn enough of their own.
And a warm kind heart

I wish I had more to add but I just don't ... so ..
til next time, RdFreak
