it's raining, it's pouring
Feb. 28th, 2008 08:07 amand it has been stated previously that I'm a big wimp when it comes to rain! so how am I going to get to work yo?
Well, unlike previous wet days, I will put Heartly's coat on, and I may take my new umbrella! I will have to just hope that it stops between 8.30 and 9, yes I will!
weird man! it's like winter again; it's pretty cold (two dunas cold for me :) but only til Monday when it will heat up to 31 again! but, generally speaking, I think the hot weather has left us for another summer!
My ADSL2+ router (that the M's kindly left here for me) went off the air last night, and nothing happened when I tried to turn it back on. so this morning, I had the bright idea of fiddling around with the lead that ran to the power supply, and sure enough, as I moved it slightly, jaws spoke something about the usual lack of connection, and then I saw the light starting to flash, indicating it was live and connecting. one good thing about this router is, it has rather a big light, so even I can see it quite clearly. When it starts to flash I leave it for a while, and when it's on stable, I know it's connected! go me! or, maybe i should say, go my right eye! :)
but, it leads me to the question, I've noticed these days with every new piece of equipment, the leads are always faulty. The leads to my new computer speaker system have been from the start, and will go from one speaker to the other unless I do a lot of fiddling! -- the way things are made these days are so crap! (I remember the good old days - not really!)
my final two days of South Yarra; and this, I'm told, is for real!
Oh Baz called me last night. he found my number in the phone book. He assures me he's not stalking me, which of course i believe him, but I'm hoping he's not trying to chat me up, or is kinda interested or anything.
til next time, RdFreak
