birthday plan
Jan. 15th, 2009 08:43 amNo writers block entry today; the question was a bit weird. I mean, it was OK; one could get quite creative with it, but I wasn't really in a creative mood last night; plus, I found myself on MSN which is quite rare for me these days, and therefore, quite a few people were trying to catch up with me. having multiple conversations while trying to concentrate on creative writing just doesn't happen.
OK now to the subject. I thought that if I am to call Jumbos today to see how many their private room can hold for my 30th, i better do a draft of my guest list, and, it turned out to be over 70 people, not even including past school friends or family; including all my interstate friends though.
I originally did want to try and combine family this year, but am not sure if I will do it. If it looks like it won't be happening at Jumbos, I will have no choice but to hire out a hall, in which case, i will hope to get the family there as well.
Unfortunately I won't be having any of my special international friends who were asked; but i know they all tried their best. and, i know how hard it is. As I told many of them though, i simply wanted to give them the opportunity of sharing such a scarey milestone with me.
I will be having a special birthday with Dad in Dubai, and also
louise_1985 said they'll take me out since they won't be able to make it down; so am looking forward to that.
I have a feeling, even though I shudder at the thought of turning 30, this year will be the bestest birthday yet, as I will be spending it with so many of my special friends; past and present.
OK, since this crazy four-seasons-in-one-day Melbourne weather predicts a storm this morn, I might leave for work shortly.
Fear not Melbournians; the forecast promises that the heat will return very soon. *shudders*
til next time, RdFreak
