YTT and other things
Jan. 18th, 2009 11:57 amWell yesterday I went to Peter s' nplace with a few people from computer users group. Was a great get-together with plenty of food! Only annoying thing is, i went up to my safeway before hand and the Deli made me up a fresh cheese platter with plenty of dried biscuits, bre cheese, as well as other cheeses, but, it sat in the sun uncovered for a bit too long yesterday, so it means I can't have the left-overs cos of the sour smell.
But, the day was great! Frank and RB came back with me for a while.
Nan was over here friday night and brought her YOUNG TALENT TIME DVD over that she got for christmas. I ripped it as I'd lost the previous documentary I had of it years ago which was the same but ripped off video tape. -- have just played it now and made me realize how much I wanted to get on there when I was little, and even after listening to it all, I totally wished i could of had the experience.
I guess there is a pattern emerging of wanting to get on reality shows, even back then, but, it's because what "they" were doing seemed sooo much fun! -- the YTT sure had a tight schedule what with fitting school in and rehearsals every night, but, I think it would have suited me back then.
anyway, not much on today; just chilling. From today, it starts to heat up again; 26 today, and up in the 30's for the rest of the week; yummy! -- at least I'll be at work in the air-con.
til next time, RdFreak
::edit:: P.S. i almost forgot; happy ninth anniversary to Heartly and me!
It was nine years ago today that I was introduced to her in my room at Guide dog's Victoria!
Nine years ago yesterday, I went into GDV, and we spent the first day getting orrientated around the place, though I was pretty familiar with it already, as I'd been there to stay twice before.
So for nine years, I've been working with my faithful companion and she's still very healthy and full of beans! Age is just a number, according to her; She's only as old as she feels.
Not sure if this will be her last working year, but it most probably will be, as so not to work her into the ground.
She'll always be so damn special though!
I Love you with all of my heart, Heartly! xoxo
