coldy bla!

haven't written anything except in my twitter for the past few days, as I couldn't do much; I've had this horrible persistent cold which had gotten worse since I've come here, I'm afraid to say.
Saturday we stayed here as I'd said I want to rest and get over this. Think Christine was just as pleased as she wanted to day at home to catch up on stuff. I did speak to Miss
irish2007 on phone, which was cool!
Yesterday morning I felt a lot better! I ate lunch with the relos outside in the sun. We went to Louise's (Jack's daughters) place for a while in the evening, then came home to a lovely roast pork (though I still couldn't taste).
This morning I felt worse again. Christine has been worried about me flying with a cold cos of the ears. She use to be a flight attendant, and actually got a perforated ear drum once.
So we went to the doctor before. It was free for me thank Goodness! It's free for everyone here and I was no different.
There was not much he could do. he just said these english viruses have been pretty persistent.
I did get some Scinex though from chemist, as well as some throat lollies and some more iron tablets, as I'd run out of them!
Those docs were different to ours in that people are called to go in over a P.A, and they are told what consulting room to go too. At home, the docs just come in the waiting room and call us.
Well that's about all. we'd originally planned to visit the Bodmin jail today. I don't know what we'll end up doing. I'd say we may go out tomorrow.
There's always next time! of course I'm still glad I came, and as I was replying to Christine, I don't feel it's a waste; just disappointing of course!
I always stress to people, I come overseas mainly to see the people. going out to see things is secondary.
til next time, RdFreak
