It's so funny how I don't now use my LJ as frequently compared to before when I was writing every day. For the record, i still love writing, and crave to do so at times, so I must continue my writers block entries.
I worked last Tuesday, Thursday and friday which was good; extra shifts are nice!
Yesterday I went to see Avenue Q with Ross, who organized it for a group of us who were on the "AUS BLIND QUEER" email list.
Us blindies got to feel the puppets before hand, and then, i had my first ever audio description experience as it relates to the theatre. We all got these little tranzister-type things with an ear piece connected up.
I found it difficult to get use too, as I only had the audio description in the one ear, and I had to try and concentrate on that and the normal dialog at the same time, (which I might add was harder to understand as it involved the actors talking in high pitched squeaky puppet voices).
Everyone else definitely did enjoy it a lot more than I. Maybe I'm just getting old and now too serious for my own good since I've hit the 30's, *shudders* :)
Anyway after that most of us went to a restaurant around the corner for dinner which was nice. As per usual for these days my body objected to one of the foods I had, and I found myself on the toilet afterwoods with the same sort of symtems i had when taking those clenzing tablets, (sorry for details).
I'm thinking I still want to get some tests done to get to the bottom of this, because I can't figure out what I may be alergic too, apart from dairy and lactose.
Dad gets home Friday evening for three weeks, I think it is. I tell him i do not envy him for his awaiting 14+ hour flight! Lol, but it will be good to see him again. and he'll be bringing home my Nokia N82 with the KNFB reader softwear that I just got given the day I left to go away in March. I still will have to perfect the art of using the thing; it's so frustrating! *sigh*
Oh well; guess that's about all for now.
Til next time, RdFreak
