my short second week
Nov. 18th, 2009 05:19 pmSo this morning I was able to go back to GDV finally.
Man I was sick! And the doctors wouldn't even give me anything at first, just passing it off as a common cold. But as my throat hurt more and more, and the glands were swelling and hence paining like nothing else, i knew either they were wrong, or I was in some serious strife. Anyway, went to family doc yesterday, and he said it must be some kind of virus considering it'd been getting worst for six days now. So he gave me penicillen, and after just two doses yesterday, I luckily already felt much better. As with today, I'm not 100%, but a lot better; I can move away from bed now without feeling like I wanna die.
So I arrived here again about 10, and got Joy, and only participated in the afternoon activities of obstical work in the coridor again. Joy was great. She even recognized me and is responding better than last week.
Everyone said they missed me which was nice; I did them as well! they're a great group and will be great friends in future.
There's a few more people in the group this week, doing O.T and cane work. There's a totally deaf/blind lady whom I know of;I'd heard about before. Jane introduced us officially using sign language, and later on, I shall try the deaf/blind sign language on her which I remember. She has her dog guide here too, who is about to retire as he's the same age as Heartly.
Heartly was with me all the time I was home, but unfortunately, I was not able to give her as much attention as I would have liked! So she's gone back with Mum again.
Well, guess that's bout all for now; Dave H (who is now on my facebook) has been stirring me; I started it though I guess. I said to his dog Hilton that he will have to be prepared for pure torture over the next ten years, Lol Lol! -- ah, Dave's a good bloke though; we've got that attitude with each other now, it would seem.
It's hot hot hot tomorrow; forecast 36, so we'll be going out megga early; I should be up to a slowish walk.
All for now I guess.
Til Next time, RdFreak
