my final week at GDV
Nov. 30th, 2009 05:10 pmWell this is my final week at GuideDogs; we made it! Joy was pleased to see me this morning; she was playing with her kong while she was waiting for me in my room; bless her!
This morning we went to Cue for a short tram ride, then walked about a block back to the bus.
This afternoon we did a group walk around Balwyn passing a pet shop along the huge block where I bought Joy a squeaky toy as we don't have any. As Heartly was never into them at all, I got so use to my life without worrying about them, but now I'll have to get use to tripping over them once in a while I'd say!
When we got back from the walk, Jane and Aaron had a chat to us about the happenings of tomorrow; the vet is coming to give our dogs checks, then we'll be going into the city.
It'll be kinda weird as on the one hand, I'm so looking forward to bringing Joy home, but on the other hand, that's it for Heartly's long-term living at my house.
Ginamarie has been teaching me this song complete with actions she does in her choir; "Joy To the World"; not the christmas carrol, but another one which has been around for ages, but I hadn't heard it before; it's awesome! She taught me the actions for the chorus Friday, and today, the first verse; tomorrow it will be the second one, Lol!
B came over Sat night which was awesome! He hadn't stayed at my place before.
