So as my weekend happens to be free yet again, I thought I'd make the previously-mentioned Italian Lamb Loaf today. I just went up to the butcher and got the mince, had breakfast and will soon go shopping for the rest of the ingredients, and I will have myself a scrummy dinner tonight; yeah! :)
We have still got the renovations going on with safeway so there's a couple of times when we have to walk out on to the road for a time (it's been setup so the cars don't come too close), and Joy just really impressed me with her obstical and avoidance work walking up to butcher; was so happy! But then, she had to ruin her excellent reputation didn't she? :( While coming back across the road, for some reason she got very distracted by another dog, which is very odd for her. Unlike Heartly, she is not usually dog distracted. And I couldn't correct her easily as I had the bag in my right hand. So eventually we got there with no help from her I hate to admit. Then someone called her a "naughty dog". If they only knew. Oh, and by the way, instead of standing there looking at us having all sorts of trouble, instead of calling her a "naughty dog" for goodness sakes, help me out?! damn some people!
So I growled at her and after that she was pretty good again. as said though, totally out of character for her.
I'm about to eat the final marsbar here and will get some more chockies when I go up later. I've been buying bars instead of blocks lately; it's usually good as I can furfill my chocolate cravings with one a day; however, lately I have had two bars.
And as I tweeted just before, how come, every time I get depressed with boy issues, i grab out the book Summer Sisters by Judy blume? quite amusing I guess when ya think about it. :)
Oh, and one other thing; the other day, I called up someone in regards to a casual job which I was going to apply for. It went well, and now I have made the decision that where I can, I will always do that. It let's people know you're keen (as I was told the other day) but also, they're likely to remember you when they see your application; how cool is that? :)

Meatloaf is now in the oven with foil over the top.
I actually had trouble finding a loaftin; Safeway didn't have them so luckily found one in the two buck shop.
And also, i'm pleased to say Joy was perfect that time around, even with my dragging my geap behind me.
Easy recipe to make, though I did make a bit of a mess! It sure takes less dishes than the pastabake though.
I'm so glad that I'm getting so much more confident with cooking and trying out new things.
Anyway can't wait to try it; [livejournal.com profile] thecrazykiwi said she really enjoyed it. :)
So at 5.03 I take the foil off the top and cook it for an extra fifteen minutes or so; coolies huh?! :)
