I didn't find out who won the cup til this morning. nope, didn't take the slightest bit notice! Lol and this morning .. I found it was delta someone, and I can't even remember what the last part of that was. me and my hopeless memory *grr i hate it, considering it use to be soo good! *grr
anyway it was only last night when I remembered the train of thought I had yesterday morning which I wanted to put down in here. OK well yesterday on the breakfast program on 3AW they were talking about surrogate mothers and how it's banned here in Melb so this couple needed to go to sydney; how ridiculous! anyway I think they are trying to pass the law here. anyway, this woman called up and said that her niece couldn't conceive, so they got an egg from her, hubby's sperm and enplanted it in this other woman, and then there apparently came the argument, who was the registered mother? I just thought it was ridiculous! it's obvious! the original egg and sperm banks! I am not sure why there needs to be confusion over that! I mean just because a surrogate mother incubates the fetus/embrio, doesn't mean all the genetic makeup and all would change would it?Even I know that! Lol ah well!

last night was the same. I had this crazy dream that I was doing teaching rounds at a primary school, and the real teacher told me that she'd be getting the kids to call me 'keyte" not today, not tomorrow, but the following day. not "miss" or anything, just Keyte. Lol weird. and this little kid was walking somewhere with me and helping me around.
and I had this random other dream that I was at my old school, walking out one of the portables, and for some reason, it was my doctor's office. and I had kept hearing rumours they were cheap and nasty, so I walked down the steps and shouted "I'm going elsewhere now!" and had said to dad (who apparently appeared out of no-where "oh, I wshouldn't have said that; how embarrassing" to which he replied "don't worry about it. they'd get that all the time.
and that's all I remember.

And now I will go walk Heartly before I will come back here to tune into another addition of zone icon which is on "Tuesday 8 PM east" which translates to 12 PM Wednesday for me, and about 20 Million + others (or minus since it's not all Australians on the same time duh)
OK I go.
til next time, RdFreak

who is the mother indeed

The argument here is that although the dona provides sperm and that fertilizes an egg the question becomes for some who is doing all the work? The woman that is carrying the baby has to put in a lot of effort both in food and energy and the like; it is also argued that because the baby is in a particular woman a physical and psychological bond forms given that the baby is closer to the carrier than the biological mother. I guess it depends on whether you are arguing technically or legally. Why is it that people who want to adopt children need to go through income assessments and psychological testing whereas there are no such tests for your average teenager. Any set of people who can are able to have children whilst the adopting parents go through all sorts of hoops to get kids. Food for thought anyway.

ah yeh .. definitely a valid point and I was meant to put that in my argument. Yes, I definitely realize the carrying mother is doing all the hard work and would course feel that bond; I'd probably be the same in the situation. Well yeh, guess when I heard the question yesterday I was automatically thinking along the lines of biologically and therefore how can there be an argument.
