my jam-packed week (and last post at 27)

my final post at 27 (I dare say). Kind of sad really, because I had high hopes of stuff happening at this age - right from when I was young. alas, they weren't quite to be. Indeed Mum had me at aged 27 and I always thought it was an ideal age for me to start a family of my own, but noooo! no can do! ah well - one step at a time huh?! studied, volunteered, real work experience - maybe this is to come next on my journey of life; maybe not! But one never knows what lies ahead, so it seems quite impossible for one to think they can map out their own life. .. OK that's my deep ponderings for the day .. now on to my past week!
Obviously I started back at work tuesday without RB. I knew I was going to miss his company but was glad I could be there while he has time off - as they will for me in julyness! :) .. So, started off with frank from the bank (as he greetted me on friday! Me being easily amused, I liked this intro! :) .. anyway, Frank proved to be quite awesome! we got to know each other rather quickly and talk as much as I do to RB. However His and RB's personality clash sometimes left me listening but not responding much. I've never had a problem with rB and some how doubt I will. He's very easy-going I find, contrary to what I've heard from him.
So grand old lunches were had involving the JQS being a good sport and picking up suchi rolls, pies, and messy suvilakis. Oh, i did go out Thursday and get me a chicken and avocado sanwich and a yummy fruit salad. So that's all good and I start the early shifts tomorrow.
Yesterday I had a pretty good day, though at first I was really tired and wondered how I was going to get through the day! - work does take its toll and I didn't sleep as well that previous night. anyway, I met up with a
loscha at flinders and we made our way to a piza/pasta place on elizabeth street. To my surprise, he had arranged a few of my other recent Melb LJ pals to come for a small birthday surprise. That was soo nice of him! However, None of the four ended up showing - a couple was understandable due to work committments, the others, well, I realize we haven't known each other for that long. I have really only known Loscha for the longest! .. We had a great time anyway. ordered chicken pizza between us. He gave me a pack of jaffa cakes (mmm I looove them :)which he tells me is an interim present since the other hasn't arrived. This, of course makes me very curious but, course I now got something else to look forward too. Again, very nice of him though, and something i honestly didn't even expect!
then we went to fed square and had a ride on a ferris wheel. (I had never heard of such rides being in fed square so am not sure what the occasion was, but no doubt I'll try and find out soon, cos I can! :) anyway, it was fun!
then we had a "play" on some play equipment cos, we, again, can! Lol it was good to have a high swing on the swings. and Loscha showed me this swing that wheelchairs could fit intoo - pretty cool!
then we went back to flinders and chatted for ages before I remembered I should toilet Heartly, (*grrr* she was a naughty girl; always is in the city. there were skateboards galoore to contend with though.) anyway, Loscha then came with me to platform 1 and I got on a hurstbridge train (at 5.28) and by that stage, his family had got in touch with him as he was to meet them then.
so I made my way out to watsoniia station, and after a bit of confusion, Yvette met me and we drove back to their place. --- Yvette was really awesome and I had a great time chatting with her and Jon last night. Heartly got treated like royalty from some felow animal lovers, (they have two cats - one of them being a devinrex - which I hadn't heard of before.)
Jon cooked the tea - chicken pamajana which was lovely, along with Yvette's salad!
then we had some easter eggs before retiring to the loundge, and as Jon is a huuuge John Farhnam fan, we listened to some of "The Main event" on dVD. Him, Anthony Warlow
and Olivia Newton John were great together, and John is sooo funny! I'll be getting a burnt copy which will be good! Love Farnham too! :)
then, they gave me a lift home (as they had insisted on it). -- got home about 12.30.
this morning, I was still deciding whether I will in fact go to the second melb meetup, but I do think I will be going. afterall, the very kind
malakian had offered to pick me up, so that, we properly arranged yesterday via SMS while I was on train to Jon's.
It's a nice day today, so it should be just as nice as last time! -- I wonder if any newbies will show up? It was funny last time, it was all about everyone walking up to our little group going "are you from LJ?" Lol .. gotta love LJ! But everyone knows by now, that I am the LJ freak and I try my hardest at all times to convert people from blogspot, myspace and all that, but alas, most of the time, it doesn't work. :(
I will no doubt report later so may not be the final one of being 27 but, it's close, very close, *shudders* Oh, Mum's cooking a turkey for the occasion tomorrow night, so will make me way there after work.
til next time, RdFreak
