So I booked Heartly into the vet Monday for tomorrow! After I'd made the call, plus this morning were the times I've been feeling most anxious; prob for no reason, but, *shudders* .. she's never had anesthetic before, she's an older dog! I'm sure she'll be fine, but I am just nervous! I will be so worried about her tomorrow while at work.
also knowing I've got at least a week of using my cane is sooo not helping me! I'm just as bad as my fellow GD users; I find it so hard (even a tad scarey) to go back to the cane! I feel so un-co and like everyone is watching me! -- yes, like it has been said, I'm only too aware I should be still using the cane regularily so I don't get out of practice, but the only time I do use the things is when I'm overseas!
so plan is, [livejournal.com profile] golden_sands and myself will walk her up to the vet at about 8 tomorrow morning, then, as she has to go to her course, we will both train in together and branch off at our places.
then tomorrow evening at about 6 (as i'm obviously swapping with RB to the late shift), Mum will meet me at the station and we'll drive to the vet, pick her up, then I'll go back to my place, and Heartly will go back with Mum.
the plan was for her to stay there, though I think I might take her back over the weekend, and we will still decide whether she'll stay here next week with M or at parents.
I'm anxious! she's past the time when she can eat! fasting from now on! poor pooch!
I don't think the lumps will be anything to worrry about, but as I use to say, better to be safe!
right, guess I should hop to the shower.
til next time, RdFreak

Hugs for you and the Heartly Girl

Hi Rachel,
Just wanted to tell you I'm thinking of you and hoping the Heartly pup gets the all clear tomorrow. I hate seeing dogs go through an anaesthetic especially when they are coming out of it and don't understand what's going on.

Love,
Jordie

It's ok to be nervous, I have been every time Vel has needed something done. I know she'l be ok, and if knock on wood, somethig should happen, well I'l be right here if you need me Give the poor thing a pat, my dog understands what fasting is, I think her sotmach would rather eat itself then go without food lol. hugs.

Hi Rachel

I hope everything went okay today for Heartly. I am sure she is really groggy tonight which is always amusing watching dogs like that but at least you will be happier with the fact that the lumps are removed and won't continue to grow.
