one before I go

I'm about to leave for nannas soon. will take my mountains of tapes over to study. It is pretty sad to have to physically get away from the puter to study. actually I can be diciplined most of the time but lately I am just not for some reason.
anyway I was listening to an add before on Nova breakfast (as Grettel baby is still on there this week) and telstra broadband was being advertized. I wouldn't go with them, but I have been looking around at broadband services. TPG dialup is great, but it disconnects me after four hours. i do call back but me being me who spends too much time on here, can make up to about four or five calls a day to this thing. i also occasionally call my poor lucky friends back! So, someone do the Maths for me; I am brain dead. I gave up with it after year 10 for a reason. It does seriously suck though as I can't seem to work out the most simple things.
Anyway, OK, say I make six calls a day (on average) and I am paying 16 bucks a month to this ISP.
Dodo broadband (ADSL I am talking by the way) had the best plan! only 63.95 a month for unlimitted access and downloads. but only thing is they charged nearly 200 for installation and that is not even including the ADSL modem, *sigh*
I probably will end up just sticking with this, but I really want to have a line free when I'm on here! It's just too expensive to get in another line!
I am off to have breakfast.

You could always use your blindness to your advantage. Go to where all the phone and cable lines go and "accidently" connect into someone elses "not so used" telephone line and use it for the modem. Of course, when they catch you, claim blindness and they will go awwww and give you a free phone line? :)

A modem's a modem. You can probably buy it elsewhere and give a techie friend a few beers to install it for you. I don't know how they feel about that, but I wouldn't pay $200 for an install either. Good luck!
