new beginnings!

rdfreakJust as I thought of that subject line, what song should pop into my head, but "NEW BEGINNINGS" by Delta Goodrum.
I am actually starting at queens Street today. I will be training (or listening in in phone conversations) for a while, before I start jobsharing on my own. So, I will leave normal time, but probably 8.30ish, as I think I will get there earlier than was planned on wednesday.
I had an awesome get-together saturday. I was waiting for a few people who had told me they'd show up but didn't, and surprisingly enough, I also had a few people who'd originally said they weren't coming. this was good; but honestly guys, RSVP is there for a reason. use it! by the date specified? .. catering etc, you know?
I was waiting on people who said they'd be there, before i put the hot food on. this meant that the sweets were late and the majority of people kinda had left by then.![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
loscha came up with the bright idea of lollybags! think he was joking, but i thought "hey why not? got enough to feed an army!"
He also made the best quote when the seven out of the eight dogs had left. .. "there's enough dog hair on the floor to make another dog!" .. Lol
I love him andmissmitten they are so sweet! I told M that I wished we lived closer! She did most of my dishes for me (after much resistence from me :) and helped to clean up the kitchen which i did appreciate though it was not necessary as she was my guest.
The rest, I will document in the future.
Tonight, am meeting maz at flinders after work, then coming here and going out again to Rose of Tailand with Miss Irish and co.
Yesterday, I met up again with the lovelysjtaylor , lauren_kh and a couple of their friends (who I met for the first time) and we lunched in Lygon street; was pretty cool though I remained a lot quieter than the previous day. - I am still rather unintentionally reserved with people I don't know; this for good reason mostly!
My recording has been put up on Blind cool tech though my name was spelt wrong - go them!

It doesn't bother me so much as long as they call and let me know. But I've actually had people say they're going to come, and just not show. That, is rude. Anyway, I'm glad you guys had a good time.
