about an hour after the above) I wanted to note that I have been playing some of the new ROMs in the PT-50 and I think I will always preferr playing them there, mostly cos it's what I was brought up on.
-- the PT-50 has a fuller sorta sound in a way which is hard to explain, and I dog-on reckon the harmonies are heaps better in the PT-50. This keyboard also uses chords, while the SK-8 doesn't.
The drums, as mentioned before, are fuller in the sK-8 but yeh .. so far, I think the PT-50 just seems to be a better listening experience with all the ROMpacks.
I have skimmed through all but one of the new cartriges in the PT-50, and I don't recognize a few of the songs, so must go and consult the online list again.
Also, I think i need to put braille on the cases of my original ROMpacks just so it makes it easier, cos now they're all in different cases. mm since half of them now don't have cases, not sure if sticking braille lables on the cartrige itself is such a good idea; it probably wouldn't hurt as they wouldn't be getting in the way of anything; not sure; will think about that.

Think this is my last entry for a while; who knows? who cares, it's my journal!
Til next time, RdFreak

the best place to put braille labels are the metal slides

they actually clip off, so I could even take them off and drill braille holes on them. man, that would look cool.

One day we'll start recording all the songs, on all the keyboards.

I want the benchmark song to be rubber ducky, until we find a better one

yes we certainly will record all the songs one day; maybe on all the keyboards as they sound so different!
and yeh, I was thinking just having little braille labels on the front of the cartrige itself, just maybe an abreviation of the title. Brailling on the metal would be interesting though. :)
We'll definitely have to catch up soon, so ya can give me a hand with it all, and of course, so ya can have a play of the sK-8 (and no doubt I'll ahve the PT180 by then too. :)

I've played an SK-8 before, bill has an SK-8 A, which is almost the same, except it's got arabic functions.

I've got a PT-82 (actually, 2 of them) that play rom packs.
