I felt quite a lot better this morning til I got up to answer the phone, then i went down a tad, but still heaps better from yesterday. I'm just very dizzy.
I called bec, and as I'd told her I was much better, she told me i would still be welcome to go today, and it was tempting, but I am feeling quite dizzy still. so maybe I am still better off here to collapse in me bed if I have too. -- and my nose is now still a tad stuffy and now it's scaly too, (yeh I know, too much info for a public post! :)
I couldn't eat dinner last night either though. I heated it up, and then felt too nnautious to eat, so I did nibble on some baked potatoes and took a few bits out of the chicken pastry, but could not do it! so went back to bed and listened to "CAME BACK TO SHOW YOU I COULD FLY" for the 123456543325th time this year.
Speaking of audio books, I listened to "THE STORY OF MY LIFE" by Hellen keller on Friday; first time i had heard it, even though she'd written it in 1902; got it greatfully from L, and it was an amazing read!
I've never quite understood how blind/deaf people can learn to sign, even speak, but she not only achieved this quite quickly, she braved college, and wrote her story so well, using such a complex literary style which I could never do, though I'd kill too. -- she was obviously only about 22 when she wrote that, so would love to read about the rest of her life sometime!
anyway, that's about it from this end for now.
til next time, RdFreak

Date: 2008-09-01 04:22 am (UTC)Ugh, being sick for a lengthy period is no fun; here's hoping you recover soon. I especially hate having a stuffy nose and a croaky voice; makes me sound like an ancient crone. Meh.
