I could probably try giving up chocolate! I think I've got the will power to make it too! -- I've been a week without chocolate before. And when I was young, I'm sure it was longer than that when I had lolly nights etc. The thing is now though, I've become quite use to having a bit each day. having said that though, apart from cooking chocolate chips, I've currently got no chocolate in the house; this will have to be rectified though aSAP I'm thinking.
But seriously, I think, I could try going without chocolate for 40 days, especially now with the added willingness to lose a bit of weight.
In fact, maybe I should prove this to myself/ my LJ and my facebook! It will be when I come back from the trip though, I will go without chocolate for 40 days. Maybe I should extend this to include all lollies too! -- i dare say that will be difficult!
But, watching the Biggest Loser has started to get me thinking so much more about what and how much I eat. -- I hope, when I get my KNFB reader (which I'm told will now be early next week before I leave), I can monitor what I'm eating now. I certainly look forward to being able to read what's in packets, as that has actually always been a dream of mine!

So, I hope i do get my new expensive toy before i go away. And, I actually had forgotten to mention in here, my latest doctor's visit told me that I am still extremely low in Iron; no supprise there, but I need to go to the specialist for an Iron infusion. They can fit me in tuesday before I leave, but whether it means i will actually get the infusion, or it's only a checkup, before I go away, is not yet known. I hope it can be the former though, because I can do with the extra strength I haven't had for so long, not to mention not feeling tired and faint at any random time.
Loser went for an hour last night, which normally only happens Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.
The temptation was all sorts of Italian meals. I (because I forgot who won temptation) will find out who goes on the walk tonight, and what that will be all about this time.
Last week, because Bob was the biggest Loser second week in a row, he got the reward of his family coming up, and they all went out for the day.
This week, he would have got another reward, because he was the biggest Loser third week in a row, but he thought he'd pass the privlige on to Nathan, so he got to spend time with his wife and young kids.

OK, six days til I take off! In approx one week and two hours, I would be landing in Dubai and meeting up with Dad. -- I did call him last night, and he is looking forward to my coming up!
yeh, i always have been somewhat of a Daddy's girl as a kid. Now we more often have disagreements through stress and/or factors which are not always understood, but it seems when we're by ourselves, we're still good!
OK, need to leave for work soon.
til next time, RdFreak

In the 80's, Grandma learned that she was anemic. The doctor wanted to give her a blood infusion and this was the time when AIDES was new and many people were getting it. Mom gave her liver for a week and when she returned, she had too much iron and the doctor was shocked! So maybe, you should think of eating liver or taking suppliments. It'll definitely get your iron count up and is a safer alternative to the transfusion if you can do it. Btw, before you smack me, there's a way to make liver so that it's very very soft and nice. I've had it before and enjoyed it but it has to be mde right.

man I haven't been getting certain LJ comments emailed to me; thank goodness I checked, Lol!
yeh, well iron tablets don't seem to be doing much, and I certainly eat a diet of meat, fruit and vegetables. I don't think I've had liver anyway. how do you cook it?

I added you back. :)

My Dru apparently makes liver pretty decently. The traditional way to cook it around these parts is to fry it up with onions, which makes it kind of tough and gross.
If you don't like regular liver, perhaps try braunschweiger, which is a sort of liver sausage luncheon meat... I like it sliced with swiss cheese and mayonnaise...

yeah, thanks guys! I will honestly give these suggestions a go.
If it boosts iron that much, it's definitely worth it! :)
