Got a call on my mobile yesterday morning which stopped before I got a chance to get meself out of bed to answer it. I'm hoping it wasn't a call about the job, as they never called back. I guess it wouldn't have been, but I can't stop being parranoyed.
Following is a couple of recent overheards cross-posted to

Last evening on a peak hour Lilydale bound train, there was a stack of little kids who had just been to the show. They were playing Eye Spy, and note, I can only assume what happened here, as I have no useable vision.
One kid said "Eye Spy With My Little Eye, something beginning with S." The parents guessed Spiderman (which I assumed was on public display from a showbag or something), and one kid shouted "michael Jackson!" (which, again, I can only assume there may have been a picture of him on someone's open MX page or something). Anyway, it got a laugh from all in ear-shot, Lol! I was amused by that, especially if my assumption was correct.
And for the second overheard, do you guys remember that extremely sad story about that busker who use to play his guitar on the lilydale/ belgrave train who was stabbed to death at Boxhill station a few years ago?
the other day, on a mid-morning city-bound train when we'd stopped at Boxhill, this guy (who sounded a bit slow) announced as some people were getting off "watch out for the guitar guy. His spirit still haunts us." -- what a stupid thing to say? That was sooo sad! :(
But the first overheard did amuse me.
(note to my faithful LJ readers: MX is a free magazine (I think) that is handed out at some railway stations, but there's usually pages of it found all over the train and station platforms cos people don't dispose of them properly).
With that, I'm off. no news really; except today is the last one that Dean, RB and I work together; it will be kinda sad, and we're going to buy something special for lunch to mark the end of a great working threesome.
