I spent like two hours on the job application! it so so better be worth it; cookies up for grabs hsere; it's now a promise!
So that said, the last thing I feel like doing right about now is continuing to sit here on my lorrals reading Ite 1 material; however, i may do the skills review now; this is simply because though I'd wanted to do it all weekend, mine stuffed up because last week, I'd decided to start it and not finish it.
I've no idea what's up with channel 10 today. their programming is all stuffed because apparently Australians wanted to see the american SuperBowl; crap! so there's currently a repeat of last night's Biggest Loser on replacing Judge Judy; what the? ...? ...
I have signed up to a blind tennis program; it should be fun! :)
Tennis Victoria, in conjunction with, Blind Sports Victoria and Tennis Seniors Victoria, has developed a fun and exciting social tennis program for people with low or no vision for all ages and abilities. This is a great opportunity to meet new people, have fun and get fit.

Im totally intrigued how people who are blind can play tennis..... please, let us know how it works!!!! I'm dead curious. Hell, I cant play tennis because I don't have the hand/eye coordination...... I for see the possibility of you getting smacked in the head with a tennis ball or Joy catching it mid-air!

Well I better not get smacked in the head, or else, that will be the end of my program; I'm such a wimp, Lol!
There is a blindy game called swish that is sorta like table tennis, but the ball has a bell in it and it's batted under the net, not over; but yeh, I didn't think a blindy could play tennis, as I say. They did have a club for the partially sighted (people who could see way more than me) but for those reasons, i couldn't join; so yeh, this will be fun and course I'll let this LJ know about it. :)

It's not too bad with practice. My lovly ex runs a weekly session for blind Melbournians. but I use to play it long before he started that up; I don't attend that group. it's not just him, the atmosphere in general I don't like there. But I am pleased to be getting back into sport of some description, and I want to start swimming again too. :)

I guess it'd be less to just use the pool? less people there than normal public pools; sounds better.

Just the pool is cheaper for sure, but I am not sure how much. Its a YMCA center so is still *public* as such. But they close off a whole lane for me when I go in and have a special sign they put up for Luigi to tell people not to touch him while he is in a down stay and the life guards are great at telling people to not touch him too.
