an inspiration

This morning while reading my friends page,
secret_spoken had informed us that one of her LJ friends
65redroses had sadly passed away. so I went to take a look at her user bio and found out she had cystic fibrosis; She was such a positive person. she got a lung transplant and it seemed to give her life back for a while, but then her body started to reject it and that's when she went downhill.
I've been reading through her LJ; she was so strong, and she seemed to live through all the love she was surrounded by from her family, friends and boyfriend.
I've never really gotten the full story from someone with CF so this has been very enlightening for me, not in a good way of course. :(
One of the things that touched me deepest was that she recorded a youtube vidio as she thought time was up for her in a matter of a couple of days after; turns out she did have a little extra time; but in this vidio, she was saying how she's not sad (didn't mention "scared" at all) but again how she loved to love and be loved. She had created "a wall of love" out of the many postcards and letters she'd received from friends and fans around the world.
One of the other nice things she did was have her friends, boyfriend and family members take it in turns to stay with her in the hospital each night, so she was never alone. -- I know if I am ever dying from an illness, that's how I'd want it to be as dying has always scared me the most; at least having someone with her 24/7 can bring as much comfort as can be expected.
So, R.I.P Eva; you sounded so strong, and my thoughts and prayers go out to your family, friends and boyfriend at this sad time. :( We'll all see you again!
