a great milestone plus a bonus laugh! :)

So yes, I have been improving, and being motivated as well, with my cooking skills of late.
I just fried an egg. now that is just something I tried myself before and it worked, so I am very proud and am considering this a huge milestone since I hadn't done it on my own before. It's funny; when people talk about not being able to cook, one would hear them say "I can't even fry an egg". yet, I can cook; getting better all the time, but this is one of the last things I learnt to do; fry my egg.
I am now cooking bacon and have toasted my bread and will soon make an egg and bacon sandwich; yummo!
But the funny thing was, while I was waiting for the toast to pop in here, joy was out in the kitchen and suddenly got the fright of her life and ran with all her little might in here. I didn't hear the toaster pop for some reason, so I was wondering why she got such a fright but then I realized what must have happened. I couldn't stop laughing. She kept wagging her tail, sneezing and carrying on! think it was one of those "just-had-to-be-there' type deals.
::edit:: i was going to try breakfast burritos (that Mon introduced me too) but I'd forgotten to get some onions yesterday, so though I was going to go and get some, I thought, I'd just leave it and try the egg thing first, if that worked, i'd go get some later today or tomorrow. :)

P.S. And I have Chai tea; mmm, not Vanilla chai, just the original chai. I discovered I liked that better. it's cheaper too, and more of them in a box. :)
