five more days!

Well it's five more days til christmas yeah! I have got a really sore damn throat :( not fun! I just hope it doesn't become a cold cos I just can not lose my taste over christmas. that will soo not happen! *grrrr but it's sore as! I overdosed on chewable vitamin C's before. and despite what Nan says, the sepicoals don't help me! *grrrr
Well two good things happened today in amongst my usual days right now of being doing nothing .. well Sugar and I renewed our friendship yeah for that! Now I have the good old bubbly sugar freak back Lol! .. and second KC told me on msn about the Bigbrother auditions and that they were going to be like Aus idol this year with all of us coming to one place in each state with the long lines and all. BigBrother is in Melbourne for three days in Jan so me going of course to audition. i'm curious how it will work but I'm excited because I think, if any, I have a much better chance then otherwise as they can see me in person first off, so instead of judging me by my blindness only (which I can almost 100% garantee they would have done *grrrr) they can just see me as a person and all, wohooo! yeah maybe this will be it for me! here's hoping! man I had kind of let it all go until I had that crazy dream the other week, and now my desire is as strong as it always had been, if not stronger. and nothing is set in concrete for next year yet so wohooo! man, I can do everything I wanted with the prize too, though of course it's not the reason why I wanna go on. but a million dolars is sooo what I need right now!
So BigBro, here we come! my partner in crime funkykc and yours truly! :) (man I hate those two words put together so I haven't really that much of a clue why I used them but anyway ...)
I've been listening to more of my neighbours epps and downloading them still. Only up to October 2000 yet. have a long way to go, and hopefully enough damn hard drive space, or I'll be forced to finally learn how to burn cD's of which I had been able to do for like three or more years now Lol!
OK think I may go and lay down with this annoying sore throat of mine.

If you take too many of them you'll get stomach cramps and a bad case of the runs.

Well i'm sure taking too many wouldn't be too good for you, but it just sounded funny because the term overdosed is usually used in reference to narcotics and stuff, not chewable vitamin c.

Nah, the term is "megadose". Vitamin C is water soluable and it is one of the handful of essentials that are not naturally produced by human bodies.

The runs come from the vitamin C level in the gut being saturated. Other than getting the runs, you don't get poisoned. Someone told me you scale it back to about 90% of the dosage where you get the runs. There's also the people who inject vitamin C intravenously.

Myself, I can usually tell if eating another tablet would cause a run. I put it in my hand and smell it, and if my stomach growls, then chances are good that eating one more will flush out the gut.

I think you have a good chance of being on big brother.
I don't think they'd hold your blindness against you. I mean they let Amanda on American's Next Top Model. I don't know if you get that in austrailia though.

I think it would be totally cool if you could be in Big Brother, not because I'd have a perfect excuse to watch it ("Hey look, see that blind girl, SHE's MY FRIEND!") ... but because as long as they didn't make you into some sort of token cripple who was just there so Big Brother could just prove how cool and inclusove they were, and as long as they treated you as A Real Person, then it would be a huge wonderful thing for the disability movement as a whole!

Imagine all those visually impaired and blind kids suddenly having a role model they could check out on TV every day!! Imagine how utterly thrilled they'd be. Wow. Not to mention the rest of the crip world.

yeah! :) well I hope so much for this year. last year I didn't even get past the vidio tape. and yes, some of my reasoning is for the disability thing too. just think me .. the first blindy on reality TV - and certainly disabilities in general. :) <333 Hope you're well!
