High on Heartly
Nov. 3rd, 2009 10:16 amHeartly is back! Ang and Mum came with me to pick her up last night. She was initially very waggly and happy to see us. Nurse gave me all the instructions, I paid ( vet gave me 50% off), then we set off. Poor Heartly was trying to rub her ear on us as it was prob pretty itchy as they'd shaved it. I haven't felt her ear much as I've not wanted to hurt her, but from what I've been told, not too much ear is off.
So last night I had her with me at all times. she was very doped with the meds.
She slept well last night, and this morning I successfully gave her the tablet; I was pretty pleased as I'm not use to giving them to her as she rarely has had to take them, but in the past, I hadn't been too successful with them. This time, I coted it in vegemite and put it down her throat (as we've been instructed to do), then I fed her! Now she's laying in the lounge in the sun.
Although I wanted to go to J's today, I decided not too. I don't want to risk bumping her little ear, even though we're only cabbing it there.
Vet is pretty sure he got all the cancer, but of course he's sent the cutting to the lab to make sure there's nothing around the parameter of the cut.
So another day at home for me. Tomorrow will take her to the vet before I take her out and about, though think Nan offered to drive me to said places which is nice.
Happy Melb cup. Don't know much about it, but I do know there's a horse in it called alcopop; stupid name.
