Jun. 11th, 2005 08:36 amwow! it's raining here. think it's been raining all night!
OK I am officially crazy! last night, i was sooo craving sweets, that I did what i did when I was little! (Lol) I got some flour, butter and sugar and mixed it up to make dough! only I kept having to put more butter (margarine actually) in so I eventually thought I'd crack an egg in. After enjoying some of it and realizing I had too much and may have been sick if I ate it all, i felt kinda bad I did it. I sealed the round container I had it in, put it in the fridge and decided I might try and roll them in little balls and cook them to kinda hopefully resemble cookies! it's the first time I've ever baked cookies on my own, second to third time I've attempted baking sweets! :)
then it got me thinking that I will see if dad can wire in my big oven and and and I will start baking. I think I shall enjoy it immensely once I get into it. and plus I wanna see if I can make Mum's good old traditional chockchip cookies! I'll have to wait for the big oven for that, but with that other play-play mixture, i can use my little toaster oven.
then I can bake that chocolate cake in the big oven *shudders from the last perfect attempt only to have it fall on floor mins afterwoods :(* so then when dad wires it I'll have to get him to help me braille label it! yeah for appliances with braille! :) then I'm all set, as I got that mixer from (adopted aunt D) for a house warming present. and I don't think it's ever been used! Lol!
And yeah for accumilating heaps of recipes from the mailing lists I use to be on! literally damn thousands of em now! .. and sooo many overwhelming good recipe sites (including that one I posted to vip-l and them a few years ago where ya can mail an ingredient, and it comes back with a collection of recipe titles with their corresponding numbers). wonder if it still exists! only one way to find out I guess! Lol
